WellStar announces hiring of new executives

MARIETTA — WellStar Health System has announced Kem M. Mullins as senior vice president and WellStar Cobb Hospital president, and Bud Zborowski as vice president of WellStar Health Park Operations.

Mullins will join WellStar on Monday. As president of WellStar Cobb Hospital, Mullins will be responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic planning for the hospital.

Mullins has more than 16 years of hospital administration experience, including serving as chief operating officer for Atlanta Medical Center and Tenet Healthcare’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. He also was associate administrator at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn., and Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, W.Va. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer for Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Memphis, Tenn.

As vice president of WellStar Health Park Operations, Zborowski will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Health Parks, ensuring customer-focused service and the financial leadership. The WellStar Acworth Health Park will open this summer.

Zborowski was most recently a principal in the Garfield Park Group, an organization that works with health care companies to address market development and business growth. During his more than 30-year career, he has had a number of leadership roles in health care industry companies, including Health Images, Inc., American Medical Buildings and Tenet Healthcare.

Career expo today at Galleria Centre

COBB GALLERIA — The Georgia Department of Labor’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center will assist Diversity Hiring with a career expo today. The expo will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre, located at Two Galleria Parkway in Cobb County.

The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and to interview for available job openings, including part-time, full-time, entry-level, supervisory, and management positions.

Those expected to participate in the expo include AFLAC, Alorica/Ryla, Bauder College, CarMax Auto Finance, Compassion Care Hospice, Consort Institute, The Home Depot, Liberty Mutual, McDonald’s USA, Padgett Business Services, Primerica Financial Services, ProvNet Strategies, SmallBizPros.com, University of Phoenix and Virtuous Career Services.
