OAK BEACH, N.Y. (AP) _ Relatives of some of the women found along a New York beach highway a year ago are planning a vigil for their loved ones.

Melissa Cann, whose sister was killed, and Lorraine Ela, the mother of another of the victims, say they plan to gather Tuesday with supporters at Oak Beach. That’s not far from where their relatives were found slain.

Police looking for a missing New Jersey prostitute found the first of what would become 10 sets of remains on Dec. 11, 2010. Two days later, three more bodies were found. Police are still searching for the missing New Jersey woman.

Police believe one killer is responsible for the deaths. The first remains were found in 1996; the most recent victim vanished in September 2010. There are no suspects.
