My heart breaks for the Tayvon Martin family in the death of their young son. I cannot fathom the sorrow, anger, and despair they are feeling in this needless tragedy. Finding adequate words seems so futile when trying to express care and sympathy to this family. Our family sends our love and prayers and hope that the Martins stay close to God during this terrible time.
The inferred meaning of Al Sharpton’s shameful remark, “We love our children the same as you love your children” is totally uncalled for. It’s so wrong to use such a tragedy to enhance one’s political position.

Until black folks realize that there is more to them than the color of their skin, they will always be slaves to the dimwits like Al Sharpton and a government hand out.
I have to agree with anonymous.
I think a certain comedian uses this example.
A woman dresses up like a prostitute.
Goes to a bar.
Guys start approaching her and propositioning her as if she is a prostitute.
Then she objects and is insulted for being mistaken for a prostitute,
How can you blame the guys who made that logical conclusion?
She's wearing the "uniform" of a prostitute. So what does she expect?
Same goes for young black men these days. If they want to go around looking like gangstas' then they can't really complain to loudly when they are mistaken for gangstas'
And after all, isn't that really the look they are going for? Isn't that what they are trying to fool people into believing? That they are law breaking thugs!!
They are intentionally trying to illicit "profiling" responses and then when it happens they cry profiling and racism.
You have made a huge leap and gone from the reason that cops and law abiding citizens might have a reasonable suspicion of "wannabe" young black men who dress like gang members and thugs
to
gunning them down in the streets.
Your distorted view of reality is pitiful.
Let's put this into perspective.
If you saw a bunch of white guys with nazi tatoos and obvious White Power, Aryan Nation type of dress and mannerisms coming your way down the street or wandering your neighborhood what would you think?
Anonymous seemed to be responding to that part of your posted comment about young black men being profiled by the cops, not the specific Martin/Zimmerman confrontation in Florida.
Anonymous was simply pointing out why cops are inclined to react the way that they do.
Do you disagree with that logic?
Then you pose the question
If Zimmerman had been black and Martin white would they have arrested Zimmerman?
Probably, and for the same reason that anonymous stated.
Because like it or not, the fact is that young black men are involved in violent crimes and, unfortunately, that reflects on all black men.
Until that changes you are going to have to live with the fact that because of the proliferation of young black gangstas and their criminal inclinations you are going to be suspect.
Not fair, but that's the way it is.
And just a few minor corrections.
Zimmerman is of Hispanic descent, not white as you claim.
You claim that evidence wasn't collected and his firearm wasn't confiscated.
How do you know that?
Because that lyin' race baiting Al Sharpton said so? Don't even go there!!!
As someone who remembers the days when blacks were killed and arrested for no other reason than their race this case is neither surprising or shocking.
Certainly there has been a large degree of bigotry and racism in this country's history. There is no denying that.
However
The point YOU are so conveniently leaving out is that criminal activity by young black men, particularly violent criminal behavior, is significantly disproprtionate to their percentage of the general population.
What are cops supposed to do?
Ignore that fact in order to be politically correct?
I can remember the time when, if you were a guy and wore your hair long and dressed in bell bottom jeans, tie dye
t-shirts and drove a psychedelically painted van you were targeted by the cops as a ne'er do well, dope smoking, dope dealing hippie up to no good.
Unfortunately, the dope dealing dope smoking criminals had the same look. It didn't matter what color you were or the fact that you were not breaking the law, the cops still focused on you and for good reason.
We hear the same thing from young mideastern men when it comes to being profiled as a potential terrorist.
or
from Hispanic men when it comes to being profiled a being an illegal.
Is it fair? Absolutely not!!!
But the facts are the facts, and it would be irresponsible for anyone to ignore that, particularly our law enforcement officials.
That said...how upset are you when you hear about another young black man shooting and maiming/killing another young black men? You know, going to a weekend party in the hood is a high risk activity for a young black male these days. Don't you care enough to show at least a little "outrage"?
THE BLOOD OF JESUE IS AGAINST YOU AND EVERYONE MAAKING ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS...WE ARE ALL HUMAN RED OR YELLOW BLACK OR WHITE...WE ARE ALL CHILDERN OF THIS UNIVERSE WE HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE THIS WORLD BELONGS TO NEITHER YOU ARE THE DEMONDS AGREEING WITH YOU....GO READ REPENT BECAUSE THIS IS A CIRCLE OF LIFE WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND GOD IS IN CONTROLL NOT YOU...LEAVE THE KID LET HIM REST IN PEACE YOU ARE THE THUG NOT HIM
