Thomas off base on Zimmerman

DEAR EDITOR:

Cal Thomas’ column on Tuesday, quite frankly, made me sick to my stomach. His contention that “white people” are such fragile-minded thumb suckers so terrified by the “liberal elite” media’s depiction of the “thugging gangsta black man” is as lame and tired a point as I have ever read. George Zimmerman’s intent was made clear by his continued pursuit of the child after he had run away and by his own words on the 911 call when he said, “These a**holes always get away.” That remark does not sound like a terrified innocent trembling in fear. That remark literally speaks for itself.

@anonymous - again, you are making the assumption based on what you have heard, I am sure from the lame stream media, that he was "pursuing" this "child". Again, it appears that you know more than anyone else what actually happened in this case. If he was attacked by this "child" (horrors, how can anyone even assume that) - and was himself being beaten what alternative would you suggest he use? Maybe if he had said "please don't beat me", it would have worked, which I am sure you, anonymous, would do in this situation. From the FULL content of the 911 tape, it would appear that he was following this "child" to be sure the police could find him and that was when h was attacked. But be that as it may, does it also justify the reward for "watned dead or alive", or the tweeting of addresses that belonged to innocent people, or the rush to judgment that you and so many others have followed. The only point I was trying to make was that this "child" was not an innocent little 10 year old walking through a neighborhood, slowly, in the rain, just returning from getting some Skiddles. But then, I guess to someone like you, what you have heard so far is the gospel and there is no other sceniaro.

Wasn't Travon the one with the right to STAND HIS GROUND? AFTER ALL HE WAS THE ONE BEING CHASED. Zimmerman abused the law.

Maybe Scott and just sayin ought to listen to ALL of the news - rather than the edited version of ABC. For your information, this "child" was over 200 pounds and 6 foot plus. He was describe as "black" when asked by the 911 operator if he could tell if he was hispanic, black or white, he had a criminal record, had been suspended from school on at least 3 occasions, and his own FaceBook page show his obscene finger gestuers, and his "prison" pants with more of his underware showing than concealaed. Sound like a really nice "child" to me. Wonder if he had his tricycle with him? Some of you need to realize that this story only has traction because BHO and most of the news media is spinning it for the most hate they can generate.

And your point is? None of these things that you describe are justification to pursue, confront and kill someone because they "might do something". Zimmerman murdered Martin after being told by police not to pursue him. Your attempts to contort a justification for this murder out of nothing is laughable.

"anonymous", how do you know that Zimmerman "murdered" Martin? Were you there? Did you witness the incident from beginning to end? NO, you were not.

By most of the accounts of the witnesses there at the scene, Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense after Martin had attacked Zimmerman from behind and was beating him.

Until you and everyone else demanding Zimmerman be arrested and convicted before his day in court maybe you should reserve judgement until you know ALL of the facts.

Funny one eye witness said Zimmerman was on top of Martin when he was shot, audio analysis says Martin was screaming for help."Reserve judgement until you know all the facts", great idea obviously this does not include you.

Anonymous needs to listen to more than just the blather and recordings that FOX NEWS is airing for public consumption. It could help keep him from sounding like an ill-informed idiot when he writes to this blog.

Really, just sayin. And I am guessing you think you are being clever.

Are you telling us that you are still unaware that MSNBC/NBC and the nyt folks were running selectively edited audio tapes to make you think this man was saying things that he was not? Sadly, I sense that you are still unaware that this is exactly what they have already apologized/made excuses for doing. (NOTE: as much as you may hate FOX, they have not yet been shown to have been basing their reporting on audio /selective editing of their own doing).

Clever you are not. Clueless you definitely are.

Please do not procreate.

To anonymous,

You are not very good at making you own original statements, but then; you never were, were you?
