During the anniversary week, customers can enter drawings for daily prizes including a signed cookbook, gift cards, cupcakes, special occasion cake and a kids cupcake decorating class. The public is also invited to an anniversary celebration on May 5 where they can get a slice of a special cake with a donation to Marietta’s Feed My Lambs Charity (www.feedmylambs.net).
Gabriel’s is also undergoing a change starting Monday when it will change from a counter service to a full-service restaurant after 5 p.m. daily. Operations will be led by General Manager Doc Cutter, Mary Baker (previously with Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton) and Laura Payne-Gabriel Rebo. Gabriel’s chef Gregg Baker has created many new dishes for the evening menu. There will also be reduced prices on certain dishes.
Gabriel’s Restaurant and Bakery has been recognized by Atlanta Magazine’s in its Best of Atlanta editions along with publication of recipes in national magazines such as Cooking with Paula.
Gabriel has cooked with her cousin, Paula Deen, on “Paula’s Best Dishes” and “Paula’s Party.” She has also released the cookbooks, “Cooking in the South with Johnnie Gabriel” and “Second Helpings.”
